(Lucky Big Little) Kit Kats
Posted: January 10, 2011 Filed under: Japan | Tags: chocolate, food, Japan, kit kat 2 CommentsEvery year Kit Kat Japan brings out a special Kit Kat to wish High Schoolers “good luck” on their university entrance exams. This year’s lucky Kit Kat is:
ラッキー Big リトル (Lucky Big Little) Kit Kats
It comes in three different coloured packets, but the contents is the same. On the front of each packet it says:
ラッキーピンクを探そう!! (Let’s look for the lucky pink!!)
(On the contrary, all white is lucky too?!) – I think!
On the back of the packet there is a little message to explain the contents of the pack and how it is lucky:
It says:
(Happy white is white star feeling!)
(Lucky pink is cherry blossom full bloom feeling!)
Apologies if these translations leave a little to be desired!! 😉
As it turns out, each pack included pink ones anyway…

According to my dictionary, 白星 is the victory mark in sumo. The Japanese wikipedia entry confirms this: 「相撲では勝利(勝ち星)の意。」 http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%99%BD%E6%98%9F
I had been wondering about these, so thanks for posting! I
Ah, interesting! Thanks for the link!
